Residency: Compagnie Caminante
Raquel Iniesta and Maria Montero meet in 2007 during their training in contemporary dance at the Real Conservatorio Profesional of Danza Mariemma in Madrid. During these years, they evolve together and establish artistic and personal connections. It was in 2012 that they decided to found Compagnie Caminante.
They are both choreographers and dancers, and in May 2013 they present their first piece "A2Pasos" at the Comedia y Danza Festival in Miraflores de la Sierra.
In 2013 Compagnie Caminante moved to Brussels. This gives rise to different projects and collaborations.
A few years later, following a great desire for an artistic rediscovery, collaboration with Nicola Vacca, a Paris-based dancer-interpreter, was born. Currently Compagnie Caminante is active mainly in France and Belgium with different pieces and educational projects. The main project and objective of the company is the artistic creation, research and study of new languages and new forms of interpretation, the inspiration of which is often taken from everyday life.
Currently, Compagnie Caminante is active with different pieces and educational projects: «Men's Day», «Dance and Go.Peeps' Fast Show», «Palma», «Flash on a near future», and «Choreographic Project Maison du Quartier Malibran ».
