Isamu Krieger - "L'heure de gloire"

Isamu Krieger - "L'heure de gloire"

Floorpainting, drawings and other pieces

Opening on Thursday, May 30, from 6pm, with a performance by Thô Anothaï, specially created for this occasion.

Isamu Krieger (born in 1974 in Tokyo) develops at the same time a practice in wallpaintings and works with drawing, installations and objects in various mediums. He creates his works for a particular space and time and thus places them in a process of integration and disappearance proper to the chosen places.

For the Flux Laboratory, Isamu Krieger creates a floorpainting, on the concrete platform in the middle of Flux's garden. This intervention has been specifically elaborated for the surrounding architectural space and represents a sort of reversed fresco, an inversed perspective of a celestial landscape. The sky, filled with clouds and illuminated by sharp rays of light, is the sky of a miraculous moment that evokes as much a sunny spell after the rain as peace before the storm. The spectators are invited to walk on the piece itself and to share a contemplative and dreamlike experience. A way of walking on clouds... The exhibition presents a series of 6 drawings (2013) and 2 object-pieces (2008) as well.
