DADA 2016 Zurich - DADA FEFE
Flux Laboratory Zurich: 10 and 11 June 2016, 7 p.m.
A tribute to the women of the Dada movement, DADA FEFE is an evening program of performances that mingle piano, song, text, and dance.
The four performers will appear one at a time or simultaneously, exhibiting their modes of expression: compositions by Erik Satie and Erwin Schulhoff; absurd pieces by Marcel Duchamp or Francis Picabia will be played on the piano, at times using ordinary objects to play its keys and chords, while text recitations accompany a dancer’s moves.
Manuela Keller and Claudia Binder are professional pianists who presented their first Dada musical program together as part of the exhibition Die Dada, She Dada, la Dada. This initial collaboration inspired them to create an evening of performances based on movement and to be accompanied by Isa Wiss, singer and actor, and the dancer Elina Meyer Müller.
